About me
My name is Vickie and I am a practicing registered mental health nurse with over 20 years experience. I am registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and have regular supervision from a qualified art therapist, so I can practice safely. My nursing care delivery has been recognised as exceptional with two Daisy Award Nominations in 2022.
I am also a practicing abstract artist who is inspired by nature, connections with others and my own personal wellbeing journey. My practice includes paint, print and collage but I also love experimenting with new techniques. Creativity and art makes me feel myself and is an essential part of my identity and wellbeing.
I am passionate about using creativity to support people’s mental health recovery and personal journeys. Combining my experience and training as a mental health nurse and artist I compassionately and creatively support adults, young people and families to recover, heal and improve wellbeing. In this work I support individuals one to one and facilitate groups.
I have extensive experience of using CBT, systemic approaches, solution focused interventions and developing formulations and goal setting.
Please do get in touch to discuss your needs and goals. I offer a free and informal 30 minute initial consultation via zoom or on the phone.
